Sinai Gaza Veteran
The Arab–Israeli War was an armed conflict fought 1973 between Israel and a coalition of Arab states led by Egypt and Syria. The majority of combat between the two sides took place in the Sinai Peninsula and the Golan Heights—both of which were occupied by Israel in 1967.
The United Nations Emergency Forces (UNEF II) was established 1974 by United Nations General Assembly to supervise the ceasefire between Egyptian and Israeli forces at the end of Yom Kippur War, to supervise the redeployment of Egyptian and Israeli forces and to man and control the buffer zones established under those agreements.
We honor the men and women who bravely served for peace in this conflict.
