BA01 was the first of the Swedish Bosnian battalions of the Swedish Armed Forces contribution to the peacekeeping forces in Bosnia. The battalion consisted of three mechanised infantry companies which during its service period, September 1993 – March 1994, was organized together with a Danish tank company and a Norwegian field hospital for the unit Nordbat 2.
