The Central African Republic Civil War is an ongoing civil war in the Central African Republic involving the government, rebels from the Séléka coalition, and anti-balaka militias.

The UN Security Council authorized on 10 April 2014 deployment of a multidimensional United Nations peacekeeping operation – MINUSCA – with the protection of civilians as its utmost priority. As of 2016, it has more than 10,000 troops on the ground.
